Responsibilities:
As a Director, Information Technology you will utilize strong management and technical competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for subordinate level managers. You will manage people who lead departmental and cross-functional teams that are focused on the efficient operations of the companys information processing systems and planning for future information systems needs.
You be responsible for setting functional goals, plans and schedules, closely monitoring execution of initiatives, driving issue resolution, and accepting the responsibility for ensuring successful achievement of program goals.
Design, develop and implement operating policies that ensure the operations effective achievement of objectives.Develop and approve exceptions to policy tied directly to area of responsibility.
Work collaboratively with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people within your area of responsibility.
Develop budgets for approval and assure adherence once budget is approved.
Over see project management, and people management to actively lead strategic regional and global projects.
Control of planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expenses
This is a position for a senior IT leader with prime responsibility to satisfy IT requirements in the APAC region – including all functional areas in the field such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, Mfg & Distribution Ops, HR, and Legal.
You must have extensive experience managing IT functions for multi-national companies with team members distributed across diverse countries and geographies. With in-depth technical and enterprise systems experience and knowledge, the successful candidate will partner and drive IT strategy with senior business executives, stakeholders and peers across the region. In addition, the APAC IT Director will oversee APAC IT operations and work with the Global IT organizations to successfully complete all major IT initiatives, in support of business strategy.
Other responsibilities include:
Work with APAC field business executives and management team to fulfil regional IT requirements and implement solutions consistent with company objectives.
Serve as single point of contact for IT in the APAC region, supporting major business operations and functions in the region.
Partner with senior field leadership team and their staff to facilitate "ease-to-do-business" with customers and partners and enable business growth
Participate with senior management to drive business and technology directions. Partner with the IT CTO to showcase usage of products in the field.
Deliver technical direction and solutions consistent with Global IT strategy and direction.
Reduce long-term IT support costs, while improving service levels.
Establish, measure, and improve service performance metrics.
Collaborate with Corporate IT PMO, Solution Management and Delivery, and Service Operations teams to implement, roll out, and support key systems initiatives and solutions
Collaborate with other regional IT teams in Americas and EMEA to ensure open communications, maximize synergy, and leverage consistent global processes and common standards
Requirements:
15+ years experience in information technology, with at least seven to ten years of management experience leading and managing an IT organization in a fast moving, multi national technology company.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure technologies and enterprise applications in a global corporation which has scaled.
Will have had experience working with sales and service groups and will have a strong understanding of their IT needs and how they operate.
Background must include supporting field organizations across diverse geographic locations, including APAC regional experience.
Broad current knowledge of business technology applications, current trends in IT, and experience evaluating/implementing outsourced solutions and service providers.
Sound understanding of business processes in hi-tech business and the know-how to develop and maximize opportunities for exploiting technology in support of the business.
Experience co-managing a matrix team of resources across multiple geographic locations
BS or higher degree in computer science, engineering or management is required
