IT Director, Consulting

Job Description:
Responsible for overall project delivery and quality control
Responsible for managing and meeting and exceeding client expectations
Analyse clients’ business strategies, IT systems and IT budgets with the aim of identifying and developing high value sourcing strategies
Identify and recommend potential sourcing solutions for each sourcing strategy
Assist with preparation of supplier selection instruments and manage and participate in vendor evaluation processes
Conduct negotiations with potential vendors
Prepare business cases and stakeholder communication plans.
Manage transition of services
Assist clients to implement commercial management disciplines within their internal IT departments
Manage and build existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities

Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree (typically double degree), Post graduate and/or Masters qualification
10-15 + years business experience
5 years in sourcing consulting
Negotiation and drafting of large scale IT sourcing contracts
Providing sourcing advisory services to executive management of national and international organisations
Proven ability to develop business opportunities
Significant exposure to commercial and contract management issues
Strong understanding of the financial considerations and cost drivers within the IT function of large organisations
A thorough grasp of application, infrastructure, telecommunications for all IT platforms and technologies.
A passion for technology
Knowledge of latest technologies, trends and practices
Proven competent user of MS-Project, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
The ability to manage and lead an ITN project team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior presentation and stakeholder management skills
