Network Administrator

Job Description:
-Manage user/group account administration, including set up of ID’s/email
-Deploy, administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, MS Windows 2003 Server, MS Exchange 2003 Server, MS SQL 2005 Server, Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 and PC desktop hardware and software.
-Develop/maintain server and network file backup procedures
-Management of firewall and anti-virus system.
-Responds to end-user requests for support for a diverse set of platforms
-Maintenance & administration of workstations, servers, and all other computer hardware of the organisation, understanding & troubleshooting problems.
-Provide technical assistance
-Liaise with vendors on hardware and software purchase and maintenance.
-Assist in Disaster Recovery


Requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
-Recent MCSA certificate a plus
-Prior experience supporting, troubleshooting, and operating server domain environments (Microsoft Servers) and networks
-Working knowledge of: LAN infrastructures, TCP/IP, DNS, network security (pertaining to firewalls), server operating systems/applications (including Exchange), data backup/recovery systems, and IIS
-Experienced in MS Active Directory and Microsoft Office / Outlook is required
-Working knowledge of Linux (preferable)
-Strong analytical skills and pay attention to detail
-Tactful, pleasant personality and a team player
-Able to work under pressure and excellent in prioritising work
-Able to plan and organize work efficiently and independently
-Able to handle last minute urgent assignments or requests
-Good communication skills with colleagues of all levels
